TRANSFER SAME DATA TO ANOTHER COMPUTER

i am facing problems while restoring my  backed data to another computer . I tried restoring from Backup.dpb to the new user but just wont restore . It says complete but without any data geting transffered . please if u could explain the procedure to backup in a detailed waY .
