Hi,

I'd like advice on using the Gallery window.  A step by step would be nice but any and all suggestions, recommendations, etc. will be appreciated.

I'm not sure what you are actually requesting here, so sorry if I'm stating the obvious... if you have the Gallery-window visible, just click on the yellow folder-icon on lower left corner of that wiindow. That will create the folder for gallery images for that particular movie (the name of the folder for that movie is the UPC.locality, e.g. 1234567890.8), e.g. C:\Documents\DVD Profiler\ScenePhotos\1234567890.8.

Then you just copy images (whatever images you want, titled whatever way you want) into this folder and you can view the images in DVDP in this Gallery-window. Either as thumbnails or full photos, and either in autoplay slideshow or one photo at a time.

If you were wondering about something else about the functionality of the gallery window, let us know. I'm sure people here are able to guide you further.

Hi Mika,

Thanks for the reply.  I intentionally worded my request in a rather open-ended format as I didn't want to limit any responses to specific questions that I have. In reading over posts I often see things that I didn't know could be done.

My specific concerns were in regards to what file formats are acceptable, what names can be used and what size files are recommended.  But I hoped that perhaps things that I hadn't considered might be suggested.

jpg and bmp work, I have not tested other formats. I prefer jpg because I have more than 10000 photos in galleries and backup files become huge. You can use quite any name.

The file optimum size depends on the size of the display window you use. If the size is too small, you loose quality in a large window, if the size is too big, you have no added value. I chose 800x450 for 16/9 DVDs and 600x450 for 4/3 DVDs.

You can have a look a this thread for details about  the layout I use, and to find images for movies (10000 available for 1000 movies).
