So I went to open up DVDprofiler tonight and it kept freezing when trying to load the layout. Only way to continue at that point is to try to close it subsequently popping up the "Program is not responding" window and force it to close. I have tried a database repair and restarting my PC, unfortunately neither worked and the problem persists.

The problem I'm having is with the most recent version of 3.5. The beta which I'm running in Parallel mode is working just fine.

My question, is there a way to get the information of my 3.5 database out for a fresh install other than creating a backup? For instance, somehow pulling up that information in the 3.6 Beta and then properly backing the database up? Is my only option to reinstall the program and therefore lose all my updated information I've worked on for the last couple weeks?

I'm kicking myself for not backing my database up recently, but I did so right when I downloaded 3.6. But I've done a ton of work on my database including some HTML window stuff that I'd hate to do again...

Any help would be much appreciated!

First try to start the program and keep the keys CTRL+ALT+Shift pressed as long as the splash screen is open.

This will prevent the loading of plugins and layouts.

If that does not help:

Your database (if you didn't change the path) can be found in your "My Documents" folder under "\DVD Profiler\Databases\Default".

If you copy this entire folder you have a backup of your DB. Then you can safely uninstall 3.5.

Sounds like your layout files are corrupted.
There was a thread some time ago that said how to repair this. I'm not quite sure when.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

DJ...You are a genius! I can't thank you enough. My database loaded just fine with holding down those keys! Now I can backup my program properly.

I was in a panic...I really didn't want to redo all that work. Thanks again!
