| | Posted: | | | | I am planning to contribute profiles to the upcoming "Zorro" WDT sets (my favorite series of all time!) and am almost done compiling all the credits, taken from the screen credits on my home-made DVDs I made a few years ago (from recordings off the Disney Channel many years ago) and have encountered a conundrum. In doing a credit lookup for the series producer (starting with episode 20), Bill Anderson (then known as William H. Anderson), I encountered 89 profiles for "Bill," and 30 for "William H." But then I noticed that there are several Bill Andersons (the Disney producer, a sound man, an actor, etc.) and at least 2 William H. Andersons (the other a sound man, possibly the same as one of the Bill Andersons). According to my count, Disney's Bill Anderson accounted for 17 profiles and the same William H. Anderson for 15. My research turned up his BY as 1911 (http://legends.disney.go.com/legends/detail?key=Bill+Anderson) and I was going to propose adding his BY in my contribution, using Bill as the common name and William H. as a "credited as," but then it dawned on me that if my contribution is accepted, William H. would outnumber Bill as the common name. Since that is not yet the case, however, I'm not sure which way to go on this (Is this making sense?). HELP!!! |

Sorry if I seem to be a little dense. Nope, I mean 'as credited'. In other words, enter him exactly as he is in the credits....William H. Anderson...no common name. Once those are accepted, my guess is the CLT numbers will favor that as being the most common so that should be the end of it. Anderson in the credited as field. It looks like he is creating child profiles for the series. Each episode, or child profile for multiple episodes, will count as a title. Once that is done, the CLT numbers might change...which is why I suggested to enter them as credited first, then figure out the numbers. | | | No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
