This is my first questions, but I may find more as I go.

What is the DVD title used for?

What is the DVD release box used for? Should I enter the DVD release date, or the Blue-ray release date?

I'm sorry for being confused, but does this mean a Blue-ray is a DVD, or is this just a bug in the system?

It's just that the system only uses "DVD" to refer to all media accepted by DVDP. You enter the data as per whichever release you have.

Just as a friendly FYI, there's no "E" in Blu-Ray.

Thanks, my mistake. Allready starting to learn.

Thanks both, I see, DVD only means it's a digital video disc then.

The Blu-ray release date for BD. In Norway (where we come from) these days DVD and BD are usually released at the same day. (always on a wednesday, I used to work at a videostore ) But sometimes the DVD is released first, then BD after a week or two. Season 7 of 24 was released on DVD for over a month ago, and the BD was released today. And the third thing, some distributors are pushing BD's and have the release on BD a week before the DVD edition...

To find releasedates I use www.release.com or www.dvdhuset . Those two are the most reliable sources, but with release.no you can't find the dates of release more than a few months back, so dvdhuset is a good source for "old" BD releases.
