The DVDs in this do not have a UPC symbol but when I insert the discs and the cover scans that are in the database do (I think these scans might be from the individual seasons).

These covers do not match those in this box set. Does anyone have the correct box set scans that they can contribute? Or, is this a re-release and should stay the way it is? Thank you.

I did not purchase the complete set, but picked mine up as separates (bought at Target).  All I can mention is that there definately are two different covers out there for the two seasons at least from what I've seen.

I believe the original scans had the MGM logo present in the top center of the front scans, while the latter ones did not

I have this set and I'll check when I get home.

My guess is the individual seas profiles are entered by UPC but have the disc ID in the profile so DVDP is finding the existing profiles.  Assuming this is the case you should be able to submit the child profiles for the box set by disc ID and have the correct scans.

The original Releases (Season sets) for this series is now in the database as UPC (Parent) Disc ID (Child Profiles)... which is what I have.

If the newer Complete series set uses the same disc IDs you will need to keep any differing info (Scans) local.

I just check my local DB and check in the online and both the Parent and Child profiles are by UPC. I can't fine any by Disc ID.

My mistake... you are correct... this is an occasion that the child profiles do have UPCs... I must of misread it the first time.

In my set the child profile covers do not have a UPC on them. And, when I put Season 1 Disc 1 in the computer it is read as "Dead Like Me: The Complete First Season". It then offers me the child profiles with covers that have the UPC. Same with Season 2.

I did not buy this when it first came out and that's what makes me think I might have a re-release edition.

Sounds like it is doing that because they used the same discs as the version with UPCs on them. If this is the case all you should have to do is download those profiles and change whatever is different (most likely  just the images of the cases since they are the same disc ID of the original release) and then change the UPC to the Disc ID. Then when you upload them it will upload as new profiles.

I believe my furry friend is correct.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

I agree, the individual seasons discs, child profiles, so have their own UPCs. So you can do as the Addict says. I've have done this on several occasions.
