I have a collection of documentaries from the series "Time Life's Lost Civilizations". This is on 14 DVDs.
Each DVD title has the same EAN with a minor addition to the end.

For instance the first title in this collection has the EAN number "5701862000201 01", while the second has "5701862000201 02". Since the number in DVD profiler are only the first sequence of this EAN I can only register one profile.

This is not the only documentary collection with this special numbering I have. The documentary "BBC The Planets" are also like this. The way I organized the norwegian profile of The Planets was to register the EAN as a single profile and add each title under this profile as subprofiles. Each subprofile did not get the EAN, but the Disc Id instead.

The question is what to do with the main profile cover images as it does not have one in this situation. With the profile of "The Planets" I had chosen to include the front and back cover images from the first title in the collection on the main profile.

Does anyone have any thoughts about this? I was thinking of adding all the titles under "Time Life's Lost Civilizations" the same way as I did with "BBS The Planets".

You could enter them via DiscID.
Therefore you first have to create a manual profile.
If done:
- Put the DVD into your DVD-Rom drive
- go to DVDProfiler menu "DVD -> change UPC/EAN" and choose "Use current DiscID"

EDIT: Just realized that you registered very recently. So: Welcome to DVDProfiler (also called "Our Asylum")
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

There allready exist a profile for this EAN, which I am using as a main profile for all the discs in the collection. However the main profile as it is now is mainly only the first disc regarding that title information and cover images.

I would enter them as boxset:
Means the main (Parent) - profile only gets the basic data (title, total running time, Production year, Media Company) and the EAN (5701862000201), the sub (child) - profiles that get attached to the parent via "Boxset content" in the profile editing window get all the disclevel data (actors, crew, running time (of disc) etc).
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?
