I am going through the TV series "Brooklyn South: The Complete Series". There are 6 volumes in this series. I am adding all the missing data to the parent profile.

I do not want to have to fill in the parent, then go to volume one and fill in the same data. Fill in the parent and then go to volume two and fill in the same data etc.

Is there a way that I can fill out the parent data then copy it or cut and paste only the appropriate data for each separate volume?

I also don't want to copy the completed parent data into each volume and then have to remove the other 5 volumes worth of data.

Please make your instructions as simple as possible because, when it comes to computers, I am easily confused!

Thank you.

I think the easier way might be to do the "children" first, then you can copy and paste(append) those into the parent after inserting a divider for that child.

The only sets I did was before the current version, I did a lot of copy/pasting of the xml through notepad to combine that data.

If you already know how to create a trivial child profile from the parent then from the DVDp menu doing a DVD|Copy and DVD|Paste then removing the unwanted parts is easy.  This assumes the hard part is removing unwanted Cast/Crew which is simple using <Alt>-R (Remove).  The unwanted stuff just flies off the screen.

Alternately Antolod's suggestion to create children first and roll them into a Parent is quite simple also.
Bad movie?  You're soaking in it!

What you really need is:
Credits Editor for DVD Profiler

An Excel workbook template for editing cast and crew credits with maximum flexibility.
Features
Maximum comfort and flexibility while editing data due to reliance on the well-known and intuitive Office user interface.
Uses Outline to structure credits with dividers.
Uses AutoFilter to quickly find certain credit entries (e.g. those with a birth year).
Supports multiple cast and crew sheets for managing credits from multiple profiles.
Full data validation. Minor problems, such as truncations and inexact Unicode conversions, can be highlighted.

edit .. actually I found the right forum here ..

+1.

Goodguy's Credits Editor is a very handy tool to do profiles especially those for TV series episodes.
Another Ken (not Ken Cole)
