I have just contributed this with the Title "Roman Polanski Collection"

but after reading the rules I'm not sure thats correct

From the rules
Quote:
The title for a Box Set should be the title listed on the Front Cover; for example Alien Quadrilogy.

Quote:
Edition
The Edition field is for distinguishing between DVDs, and for indicating special versions and collections (for example The Criterion Collection, Widescreen, Full-Screen Edition). It's usually safe to use one of the built-in selections if appropriate. If you are using a non-standard description, take it from the DVD box, and ensure it will help distinguish between different releases of the same title.

Don't think the "Collections" refereed to in the Edition rules is for this type of collection (Box Sets) but just wanted to check.

So what should the Title be?

Roman Polanski Collection
or
Rosemary's Baby / The Tenant / Chinatown <edition>Roman Polanski Collection<edition>

Probably just over thinking this  but helpful opinions welcome

I think you did it correctly.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

I agree, for the child profiles (if submitted) i'd use Roman Polanski Collection as edition.

Since the film titles appear on the front cover as well, I would tend to use those as the title of the box set and add the Roman Polanski Collection part as edition to discern from the single disc releases.

You correctly assumed that the collection referred to in the rules section does not refer to the collection type at hand verbatim.

This is one of those cases where the distributor chose to mention the film titles on the front cover as well, differing from those box sets only giving a more or less appropriate generalization of the content on the cover.

IMO the profile should reflect this information also in the parent profile.

This approach also serves the purpose to actually find the titles in question through the search options of the software without extending into the child profiles.

You might use the Original Title field to capture these in the parent profile, if you need to. Personally I wouldn't though - I would rely on the child profiles. And I wouldn't contribute them in the parent profile either - that's what child profiles are for!
