Hi everybody,
I'm absoluteley new to DvD-Profiler and I have a question that is really important to me
Maybe someone over here has an answer.
I started to add my first movies to my database - so far everything works fine. For every movie I added, I also set location and position. Moreover I added 4 lines of Notes with an exact description where I will find the disk/movie I recently added.
I did this because of two reasons:
1. I have a lot of dvds and I do not store them at one single location, but at several racks and some inside a locker.
2. I also included movies to my archive which are only present as digital files on my harddrive. Therefore I added on which harddrive and on which partitions they are stored and at the Notes I delivered the full filepath.
So far so good.
Due to a an upcoming movement I know that I will have to re-order all my DVD's in about three months. Right now I do not see an option to easily change the location/position info or the notes of my Titles for multiple Dvds/Movies at once.
But replacing the old storage information for every single movie would cost so much time that I would really like to do it with a batch operation.
I already searched for plugins which are capable of doing this, but haven't found anything yet. Database Query is capable of listing a selection of relevant titles, but unfortunately has no writing options.
I tried to find a similar article/discussion in the forums but did not find something as well.
So my question is:
Do you know of any easy solution to change the Notes, location & position of multiple selected movies at once?
Or if this is not possible, can you tell me what kind of database DVDProfiler uses and whether it is possible to access the database directly in order to change these data fields?
