I have just submitted three scan updates of child profiles back to the originals that I uploaded originally.
They only vote so far has been against me for changing a scan of the discs in the digipack to the scan of the front and back of the slip for the digipack, ie the cover of the box.

Just to clarify, am I right in my position for the child profiles to have the same scans as the outside due to the case type?

I am sure I am right and to be honest I am surprised that my original scans were replaced by the updated scans of the discs.

The Rules say, bolding by me -

Quote:
Create individual profiles for each movie in these Box Sets. Use individual UPCs if they are available or use Disc ID (read on a DVD-ROM) if not. Create each of these individual profiles in line with the standard Contribution Rules with one exception - Cover Images. If a film is individually packaged, use the cover images from that packaging.
.

So if the discs of the child profile are packaged individually then they have their own cover scans, else they use the same as the parent.

I'm all for using inner flaps from digipacks for single disc scans, esp when they have a flap dedicated to that one movie or part of TV series.
The rules do not agree with me.

Keep em local for now, and maybe offer them in the forum. The re-release cover thread doesn't really fit, so maybe start a new one.
I thought I might've done this already with Tales from the Crypt season 2, but can't find a thread or link with search. I know I have inner digi scans to match the slimcse scans from seasons 3-7.

It helps if you give us a UPC so that we can see exactly what you are talking about.

That being said, if I read you right, the existing scans are of the actual disc as it sits in the case, and you are trying to replace that with the cover from the parent.  If that is the case, then you are correct.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.
