Whats the point even bringing it out on HD-DVD

There's only around 700,000 HD-DVD players out there.

And I'm still buying them.  At the prices I can get them for, it'd be rude not to

I also buy BR's of course

Buying the old one's is a great bargain and some of the HD-DVD players are great upscalers. I have consider getting an HD-DVD player myself and set it at 720p.

I don't like blowing DVD's up to 1080p.

Yes im buying DVD's again Sam

I just don't see now that the format is defunct studios, company's should be bringing any new content to the format now that Blu-ray is the new HD standard.

Because they'll be starved of anything new and immediately snap it up?

I don't think it would even have made the news if it was a BD release so it's a smart way to get attention to your product.

Yeah but how many HD-DVD owners are harden collectors for every last disc on the format. I still think even then they would get more on Blu-ray.

My disc drive on my desktop plays DVD, Blu-Ray and HD-DVD, so at least a few more can probably play them.

What makes the release special is that it will come with a numbered certificate of authenticity and will be limited to 500 copies.

I don't think they'll have a problem finding 500 buyers out of 700,000.

Especially since he got over 400 e-mails from people that wanted it if it was made available.
