| | Posted: | | | | From spending a few minutes looking online, I've been unable to find anything definitive. Everything I've seen refers to him as Philip Rayburn Smith. I've not seen anything that says either Mr Smith or Mr Rayburn Smith.
I'd probably go for 1/2/3 on this one. To me "Rayburn" doesn't sound like a last name. |

One of the true statesmen in the history of the United States Congress was one Sam RAYBURN, there may be no significance or connection, it could simply be that his parents admired the senator and gave his name to their son. 1/2/3 is appropos without further documentation.
