| | Posted: | | | | I am slowly going through my collection, contributing adding/changing data as needed. I would like clarification on the issue of Birth Year.
For example, Robert De Niro's birth year is listed in most, if not all, of my profiles. There was no tick box on the lower left side of the screen so submitted his BY. I have since found out that his BY should not be in the database. I resubmitted the profile but...
My question: How do I remove an unacceptable birth year from all my profiles. | | | | Last edited: by Kathy |

1. go to a profile with Robert De Niro
2. edit profile... go to cast
3. right click on Robert De Nero and select Edit Cast Member.
There you can take the Birth Year off and it will be removed from all the profiles.
EDIT:
Take note that if you didn't get a check box when submitting your profile then somewhere online there is the birth year... so you need to keep an eye on any profiles you download with De Niro as if it has the birth year you will have to remove it locally again. | | | | Pete | | | | Last edited: by Addicted2DVD |

This only works if all your entries have the BY, otherwise you get a warning about creating a double entry. As far as I can tell the only way all your entries wouldn't have the BY is if you created one yourself with to separate them. I know everytime a profile comes into my database with a BY it effects all the profiles with that name until I change that myself. | | | | Pete |

I don't know if they're still there since Ken did a purge a little while ago but two other well known problem names were Bruce Willis & Steve Buscemi. I doubt that they had valid documentation either. |

- Screener just missed it when he was looking at the contribution so didn't send to the next level?
- It is one that Ken just missed when he cleaned it out this time
- If I am not mistaken Ken said he deleted all with only one name in the database... is it possible that there is 2 (wrong) years in the database so it looked like there could be 2?

I had submitted Analyze This and Analyze That recently. It was my understanding that since no tick box was located in the lower left corner the addition of Robert De Niro's BY was correct (which, of course, I now realize was incorrect).
My notes went something like Cast: Robert De Niro BY was added by invelos database - no tick box was located in the lower left corner of the contribution screen. I also checked numerous profiles I own, including Awakenings, Born to Win, Brazil, The Bridge to San Luis Rey, Godsend etc. These titles all include his BY.
The votes for Analyze This: Yes 8, No 4 and Analyze That: Yes 3, No 3. | | | | Last edited: by Kathy |
