I've contributed about 5 pre-release profiles in the last week (all approved).  I have one other, but can't find a UPC code for it.

http://www.blu-ray.com/movies/movies.php?id=6640

It also appears on Amazon.com here:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002LE6XR2?tag=bluray-019-20

Other than the fact that this special edition looks..... um....  WAY FRICKIN COOL    How do I go about contributing it with no UPC code?

Thanks,
Poo

PS - My apologies if this is covered in the rules.

You can't contribute a pre-release without UPC.

All you can do is wait, I flling, sometimes this can take awhile. I have sometimes waited for months before some e-tailer or other added it to their listings. I'll do some digging and see if i can help you.

Thanks Skip, but MtnMike beat you to it.

I find that blu-ray.com seems to be the most up-to-date with future releases.  So, far too often than I should, I scan the upcoming releases.  If they have a link to pre-order on Amazon, I click that.  Amazon doesn't have UPC codes, but they DO have something called an "ASIN" code (something like B002871DJ0).  So then I google for the ASIN code, and almost always find a site that has the UPC code for the release.  The 3 usual sites that come up with the ASIN I'm searching for are:

http://www.cinemasquid.com
http://www.blu-raystats.com
http://www.bestbluraydeals.com (MtnMike,thx!)

I wonder why Amazon doesn't display the UPC code if there is one?

Anyhow, after awhile not making contributions, I've decided I'll become a pre-release info contributor only.

It can take time. I had to wait several months for the data to show up for Mary Tyler Moore 5, Amazon had it but of course they are worthless for our purposes, and why they don't use UPC I haven't a clue. DVDEmpire is good, as is DVDPlanet but they are also R1 US locality so sometimes you might have to cautious in Canada.

I prefer to buy US releases when I can.  I don't (and I may get flamed for this!) like my DVDs/Blu-rays having French text on them.  Especially back covers where they include both the English and French overviews, makes the text very small and hard to read.  I don't speak/read/understand French, and I don't need it on my covers.

Which is why I often bypass Amazon.CA and order from Amazon.COM.  And oddly, sometimes even after paying the dollar conversion and shipping, ordering from .COM is usually cheaper than .CA.... strange.
