| | Posted: | | | | I Have a Database of almost 500 dvds and 15 Blue-Rays and from time to time I open the program to add some new dvds and there is nothing the database is gone this has happended 3 times now and if it wasnt for me backing up everytime I add a dvd I would keep loosing the whole lot.I am really sick of this and need a fix any sugestions please. |

If Vista normally the db is stored under
C:\Users\your name\Documents\DVD Profiler\Databases
also as will as the db
CreditPhotos
Filters
Flags
Layouts
Reports
ScenePhotos
translations
under Database
Default
under default
Imahes
Pending
and about 40 fes
Also check the profiler screen
lower left corner should show db name "Default"
unless you have created more then the basic db or renamed it
Check under the file for the dbs.

(1) Ok, this first idea will be a bit insulting: you are of course always adding to "Owned" and all filters cleared, right? (2) Next idea may be more useful: are you always logged into the computer with the same ID? If you switch IDs, you might get different views of the data. | | | Thanks for your support.

| | Posted: | | | | How ironic. While working on a new plugin feature that blew up big-time, blue screen, reboot and the whole deal - I had exactly the same experience. Took a database repair, databse restore, couple of more reboots, and all kinds of fiddling before getting back, and somehow my current layout got lost. Fortunately, I have all my HTML sections saved, so I can get those back, but my favorite window positions, I'll have to redo. All that said to suggest that there may be some program that you have running, that while it may not be causing a system crash, may be causing the same loss of Profiler registry information that my plugin testing caused. Maybe a wild possibility, but I figured that this happened to me for a reason - maybe it was so I could pass on the info to you!  | | | Thanks for your support.
