Hello,

It has been a while.  I have a small peoblem.  Maybe it is already resolved, but I would like to check.  Can someone tell me what the correct way of writing is:

Harry Carey Jr. or Harry Carey, Jr.

Both are used constantly in credits (Sr. or ,Sr. and Jr. or  ,Jr.).  Aren't there any rules to stick by?

best regards
marnix

If the credit is Harry Carey Jr. enter that.
When submitted it will be converted to Harry Carey, Jr. [Harry Carey Jr.]

A filter has been implemented by Ken that will create a link between "Jr." and ", Jr."

This is solved by a contribution filter which sets the default to ", Jr.".
Anyhow you are still supposed to enter the credit as it appears on screen and use the "credited as"-function if this differs from the default. "Robert Downey Jr." springs to mind here because he usually gets credited without the comma. The entry for him would be Robert Downey, Jr. [Robert Downey Jr.] if he actually gets credited without the comma.
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

Man, I love the easy ones.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.
