how is it that the same UPC is counted several times?
Why doesn't each UPC represents only one specific profile?

Too bad the CLT does not differentiate real releases with same UPC for another locality, from non-existing ones.
Who will ever update the profile of a non-existing release? At least no one who is trustworthy. Who will vote?
The problem is not the wrong numer of profiles, but that the non-existing releases with their questionable Original Titles have a bearing on the CLT title result, so affecting Common Names, with their questionable credits.

Profiles with same UPC's, but different localities are very valid entries. Different SRP, release date, currency, Rating, Rating Details... etc. |

Many times, when checking for CLT results, I look for incorrect profiles in locality UK, unfortunately the locality with the most incorrect entries due to a conversion from years ago. Mark them for deletion, while checking if the correct locality exists. It helps, but only in small steps. |

What do you mean by "non-existing" profiles. Profiles with same UPC's, but different localities are very valid entries. Of course. When I asked I was not aware of the great number of un-unique UPCs ("the preferred method of entry due to the uniqueness of UPC codes"). From which the CLT only displays a partial quantity, because of faulty credits. So some exist, others don't. A german cover in a UK profile might be a piece of circumstantial evidence that that release doesn't exist. Or, the profile has only wrong images. Damn!
