While auditing a title recently I discovered my discID to be different from that in the online.
Do I submit changes to the existing UPC  and keep my disc ID local?
or
Should I submit a completely new profile under different disc ID?
or
Submit changes to existing profile AND submit a new (clone) profile under discID?
and if I submit a new profile should it become a child to the current UPC?

In searching the forums I have been unable to find an answer.

Thanks

Quoting from the Rules -

Quote:
If your Disc ID differs from the Disc ID in the main database, you may change it and re-contribute it if you are doing a wider contribution, but don't make a specific contribution for this reason. All Disc IDs will be stored in the main database for a future development of DVD Profiler.

So as long as you're submitting other changes you can submit a different disc-ID to that already stored under the same EAN/UPC.

Thanks,
Unsure how I missed that.
Must have read over that umpteen times.
Must be too much info for my brain to absorb lately.

It happens.  Welcome to the forums.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

This happens quite frequently, while i don't think any of us know the exact reasons for it. We do have enough tomake some reasonable inferences. It happens quite frequently with a MAJOR release, this might involve (1)multiple pressings at one plant (hence different disc IDs) or (2) reporduction at multiple pressing plants (also at least two disc IDs).
