I was wondering if there's a way to apply a filter to I can quickly identify which blu-rays have a slip cover? I've been looking into the filters but the case type doesn't seem to be among the possible criteria ... or maybe I'm missing something?

I'd like to use it to quickly identify which slip covers I'm missing

Not sure about Database Query, but I know that my BulkEdit plugin will give you a quick two column list of CaseType and SlipCover (true/false). Just checkmark the CaseType field for display, and you will get both fields. ProfieID is always displayed, and if you need it, you can add other fields such as Title. Just keep in mind that more fields will slow down the display if you have a large collection.
Thanks for your support.

Ahh, thank you, mediadogg. I didn't think of using a plugin but what you suggested would work, I think. I'll give it try. Thanks a lot (for the suggestion as well as making the plugin!)

You could create a "Tag" for Slipcover and then you would be able to filter on "Tags"

Thanks for the suggestion. I actually thought about that but seeing how 'slip cover' is a yes/no field already in DVD Profiler, it seemed a bit like redundant work to me to go through my entire collection just for that. I usually use tags for information that is not standard part of DVDP's database. But thanks for the suggestion

The reason behind the suggestion was because not everybody has the oppotunity to purchase the edition with slipcover. Here in my home town, we only have two retailers now both food supermarkets that sell the top selling titles only, and their stock of 'with slipcovers' normally only reaches to two or three copies. After that it's plain old keepcase without slipcover.

We have to either travel to one of the major towns or purchase other (non top of the charts) titles and even Bluray's, and the two stores concerned won't order-in requested items either

So I'm not always lucky to get the slipcovered items myself.

I feel your pain. Sometimes, I just can't keep up with releases and end up buying a 2nd or 3rd press, which comes without slip cover. As long as the slip cover is just the same as the regular cover, I'm still OK with it. If the slip cover is different from the regular cover, then I feel it's a pity I missed out
