I have the Notes window visible. I need to enter notes for about 300 titles. Is there a way to type directly into the Notes window? The cursor is flashing, but that's about it. Thank You.

No, one title at a time. I hope you have read the rules first.. If you have 300 titles they are NOT going to be all the same. Each title will probably slightly different.

The only way to type anything into the notes window is edit to profile. Probably the easiest way is to hit Ctrl+P when the title is highlighted, or right click on the title and select Personalize.

I'm not sure what Jubal is referring to... there are no rules to read for entering anything into the notes window that I am aware of. He is correct that you have to do them one at a time though.

Even though you've been around for almost a year let me welcome you to the forums!

EDIT: I'm not sure what you're entering in the field but if it is some type of shared information you may want to look at tags before you do too much.

Regular Notes window? Ahhh, just start typing and you can only enter one at a time, I agree with Rick about the Tags thiough, since you haven't said what you wish to enter.

You make it sound like it might be the same data for each of the 300 titles, so you could create your Tag, then Flag each title after you have done that you use the Drop Down for Collection/Flagged/edit Tags mark the Tag you created and poof they all have the same tag.

The Notes entries (or)  'same type notes' I have for a lot of my DVD AFI Library List of category and number ranking ..,
or if I gave away/sold  a title because of multi dip re release pickups , I make notes of that previous purchase, into my newest purchase , and what I did about it ..
In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.
