| | Posted: | | | | It's simple, Mike. DVD/Change UPC, then be sure to check the data of your disc against the Profile and make any changes. Check the Cast and crew data you are cloning against the ACTUAL credits and go for it.

We don't normally create child profiles for Bonus Discs. What I am seeing you tell me is that you have already listed the title in your database and you thibnk the new Bonus Disc is Blu-Ray because it's part of the Blu-Ray movie set, but it sounds like the Bonus Disc is actually just DVD, which means you already have it Profiled and cannot do so again.
As a matter of fact, mike I just confirmed what i said above, it's right there on the back of the set, the Bonus material is in SDTV NOT HD.

| | Posted: | | | | Ok I tried both of the last two posts and could not get it to work right, on the first post everything worked but then would not let me change the UPC on the second post everything worked but it wouldnt let me change the locality?
As far as what Skip said I realize it may not be a contributable clone but Id like to do it for a more accurate child profile for the Blu ray set. |

If so, what happens when you try to change either of them? |

Im not quite sure how but I think I came up with a solution, I think I did as you said and picked both children from another locality and before making any other changes I cahnged the locality to US first then used the copy paste feature then copy paste the blu-ray cover art the problem is now it will not let me update those two children now even though they exist in the dvd version. So cloning a profile means making an exact copy, but with a different ID, usually a manual ID. | | | Karsten

Any ideea why? It is related to what DJ and others have said. DVD Profiler creates a database of "profiles." Each profile has a unique identifier called "profile ID". The profile ID can be either one of: UPC.locality EAN.locality DiscID ("I" followed by a 12 digit hex code) Manual ID ("M" followed by up to 12 numeric digits) If you try to create a new profile ID that is already in the database, DVD Profilier will complain. That's why when you tried to change the locaility, for example, you couldn't - because the new UPC.locality you were creating, already existed in the database. (You could also take a look at BulkEdit, which has options for cloning profiles that compliment what is in the base product.) | | | Thanks for your support.

Invelos does not like fictious UPC codes ..
If you do use either make sure you only use disc ID otherwise the cloned disc will show up in your newest arrivals as the initial titled disc .. (to be cloned) .. | | | In the 60's, People took Acid to make the world Weird. Now the World is weird and People take Prozac to make it Normal.
