Am running 3.5.1 (build 1252) on Vista64.  The mini preview has worked fine in the past, but for some reason now simply brings up the hourglass forever (when adding a DVD by Title).  If I click the Preview button, I get a full preview, so the connection to the server is working just fine.  I have used this feature many times in the past, so I know it used to work.  It doesn't matter which profile I select, for instance I searched on "Shaolin Temple" and had about 10 hits come up.  None of them would come up in the mini preview window, it just remained that circular hourglass (DVD - Add to Collection - Add by Title).

When I click on Tools - Options - Online - Test Internet Connection, it says it connected successfully to Invelos servers.

Thanks,
R.

I have had this same problem for a while now. Kept meaning to post about it and forgetting. I been just using the big preview window like we had to before the preview was introduced.

No idea what causes it. but I can back you up that it is happening at least to some of us.

Hmmm... the odd thing here is I just tried mine again (for the first time in a month or more) and it now works as it is supposed to.

I thought it might be firewall related, does anyone know if the mini preview internet access is in any way different than the full preview?  Doesn't make sense that it would be, but what do I know.  There is no popup box from my firewall either, but just thought I might ask.

The mini-preview uses Internet Explorer to display, which is distinct from the way the program downloads files.

Ah ha!  That was the piece I needed, thanks.  I recently upgraded to IE8, which would have corresponded to about the time I started seeing the mini preview problem.  I almost always use FireFox, but after seeing your message, launched IE8 and surfed around a bit.  After doing that, the mini preview worked again!  Huh, can't say exactly what it was, but I guess something in IE just needed to be nudged.

Thanks for the post, problem solved.
