I tried searching for other topics already addressing this but didn't find one.  I appologize in advance if this is a duplicate topic.

I've been having problems with my database.  I only have 125 profiles but I frequently get dvdpro db aborts.  When I do, I always do a repair and then go back in.

Today, when doing a repair, I get "List capacity out of bounds (223689532)" on "Repair of table Studios".  At the end of the repair, I get "DBISAM Engine Error #9479 The table 'STUDIOS' is full and cannot contain any more data".

Have you tried creating a backup, creating a new database, and restoring it there?

Well, I do backup my database.  I actually wrote an AutoIT program to do it every night while I'm sleeping.  The backups are always named by the day of the week (Monday, Tuesday, etc...), so I always have 7 available daily incrementals.

However, I didn't want to restore until I tracked this problem down thinking that others might possibly be having this problem.  I tried using the "Edit Studios" function to delete all of the studios in my database.  All movies had no studios associated with them and the "Edit Studios" function was completely empty but, alas, this did not solve the problem.  I still got the error, even after deleting all studios and repairing the db.

Oh well, db restore worked like a champ though.

do you have a backup of the database that includes the error? I ask because this type of problem could probably only really be solved by Ken and having a copy of the database that has the error would probably help him to debug it so I would suggest contacting him and offering to send him a copy of the db (if you have it and are willing to) so he can (if he wants to/has time) find the cause and hopefully correct it and/or develop a way to fix it if it happens to anyone else in the future.

Why not use the command file functionality, instead of using AutoIT?
