I Corrected a German Profile of "Murder in the First". There are two different spellings of Brad Dourif

In the Beginning:
Brad Dourif as Byron

and in the End:
Brad Douriff as Byron Stamphill

I Entered both. The Correct spelled Brad Dourif from the Beginning at the Top of the Cast List and the misspelled Brad Douriff with a Crosslink according to the CLT.

Now, I got a No Vote with the statement, that the names from the Beginning are only allowed if there are Actors that are not Listed in the End Credits. IMHO I think they should be listed both especially for CLT reasons, but maybe I'm wrong.

Rules say:
"If a film has actors listed in the opening credits, which are not listed in the end credits, add these to the list in DVD Profiler before those taken from the end credits."
It just says, where to put the Names from the Beginning.

I also agree... if the name in the end credits are mis-spelled use the credited as system so you don't loose linking.

Agreed: don't enter both, but just the one from the complete cast list in the end credits. And you would enter that as "Brad Dourif [Brad Douriff]", of course.

Agreed as well.
(But this comes as no surprise, since I was the No-voter)
It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
But why should I give up, when it all seems so stupid?

I did the same. Unfortunately, the name in the end credits was mis-spelled (actually two such problems in one profile). I would prefer in such a case to be allowed to use the correct spelling, even if it is "only" from the opening credits.

And if anyone believes that the Studios take care to be exact about the credits which are entered for films - this example proves that they don't. Unless it's suggested the actor wanted his name spelt two different ways in the credits.

You mean you don't  believe that this actor had a contract with the studio requiring that his name appear with two different spellings in the credits?

No personal self-attacks in the forums, please.
