| Posted: | | | | .. for his many films under his production -Walt Disney ( as i understand it) never wanted his name to be part of the credits as his 'name' said it all in the opening Logos .. . I 'm watching and listening to the 70th Sp Ed of Pinocchio this afternoon and realized that my Profiler crew section as well as countless other Disney Titles don't included Walt as a Producer., which makes it hard to find on a 'Search mode' just how many titles I would inevitably owned with Disney at the Helm.
Since we allow uncredited cast to be used (with documentation) from commentary and the like., could we not use Walt Disney as Producer and executive Producer of any of his major titles that Walt was personally involved with at the helm of his artists.?? We could even use the slightly never used section under Crew where we could type in Uncredited in the box provided in Invelos 3.5 . | Posted: | | | | Nope... uncredited crew is specifically against the rules... Rules Quote: Quote: Do not contribute uncredited crew members, as they can not be identified with (uncredited) as they are in the cast section. If you wish to see these uncredited crew members in your local database you can do so, but do not include them in contributions to the main database. Of course you could locally only. It just can't be contributed. | | | Pete |

| Posted: | | | | Walt never took an on screen Producer or Eexecutive Producer credit. The closest he ever cam is a Walt Disney Production and that is not a credit per se. No different from many other in Hollywood history who did the same, seldom did Jack Warner take any kind of producer and I can't think of a single film with a Sam Goldwyn credit.

Just to comment on this part. None of the stuff you type in that box is contributed when you try to contribute to a profile Yeah, that's the beauty of it. I've gone to adding adaption folks into the writing credits using this method. Very convenient if I want to share because others don't get saddled with my stuff. |

| Posted: | | | | Most of them probably incorrectly, not unheard of but....
A quick check of the Jack L. Warner listing of 340 Profiles reveals a LOT of erroneous entries, probably 90% or more.

| Posted: | | | | I took a quick look at my collection and I think I'll be leaving him in locally. I've got over 100 Disney titles and it just seems odd that his name would be nowhere to be found in my entire database when he, of all the studio execs, was so integrally responsible for the output of his studio.
I get why folks are hot to do this, but just this once I'll pass. |
