Hello all,

http://www.invelos.com/Forums.aspx?task=contributionnotes&type=DVD&ProfileUPC=883904110132

This is a five disc boxed set of the TV show which comes with Disc 1 & 2 in a slim case, Disc 3 & 4 in a slim case and Disc 5 in a slim case all inserted into one slipcase.

The profile lists each disc as a separate child profile for 5 profiles. Shouldn't there only be three child profiles? One each for each slim case?

Many thanks

Child profiles on based on the disc themselves, not number of cases.

Thanks for the rule clarification. But this just lends the question ... why?

We don't create a child profile of a two disc movie release found in a single case (or are we now?) so why are we treating TV shows differently?

And I'm not trying to be difficult, just wondering ...

Because a two-disc movie (like LOTR) is still the same movie. But TV show disc 1 usually contains different episodes than disc 2.

If there were two discs in one amaray (let's say part 1 and 2 of Hot Shots) we would create 2 profiles. If there were two different movies on a double-sided disc, we would create 2 profiles.

So when it comes down to TV shows, we also break it down to disc level.

We treat TV shows differently because of the large amount of data that each episode contains.  A film will have one set of credits.  A disc for a TV series could have 3, 4, 5, 10 sets of credits...depending on the number of episodes on the disc.  Now multiply that by 2, for sets with two discs in a single case, and you can see the problem.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.
