I did a search for this, although after page 7 of 18 I gave up...

I have about 200 DVD's so far and I have entered about 90% of the Actor(ess)'s pictures with their names, I thought I would see if I contributed to the cause on (for example, "The Bourne Supremacy) with all of the images in place and it gave a message that no known change was found.

So question number 1: Am I doing something wrong?
#2: If so, how do I solve that?
#3: If not, then will this feature be added?
#4: I uploaded everything to my profile DVD Collection, will they be there?
#5: If I backup all of my work, will it be in the backup information?

Hopefully these questions can help clear up some thing on my end.

You may be very interested in participating in/utilising the Headshot Master Database, which is where community members share actor(ess) pictures for use in DVD Profiler.

While Ken did answer your question, I will expand just a little.  This is a local only feature.  All of the images you find on-line are copyrighted by someone.  Because of that, if Ken wanted to include them in the program, he would have to get a release from each and every copyright holder.  That is a near impossible task.  So, to keep invelos clear of any potential legal action, he simply does not offer them as part of the program.

There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.

We will teach it to them again.

To expand a little furtehr. Nearly every picture of actors or cew are indeed copyrighted by somebody. Based on Supreme Court rulings in this country, if you copy such a photo for your own use, that comes under the Fair Use Statute, however, once you move into the realm of sharing as in the aforementioned Headshot Database, those involved are then in violation of US Copyright Law and some international treatises as well, and expose themselves to whatever penalties might be involved, which are not insignificant. While the chance ois low, it is also somewhat higher due to this being a public forum and free to be ummm researched by those with an interest in their copyrights.

That said, this user has assembled his own Headshot sets, which are not shared and i recommend the same to all users. The risk does exist and it is for you and every other user to evaluate said risk.

If you would like to know what the potential penalties are up to $250,000 and or five years incarceration for each infraction, and in all likelihood you would be sued in civil court by the various copyright holders to recover there losses. It's up to you.
