Has anyone purchased the 2-packs at Target lately?  Mainly TV, they are coming wrapped together with their own UPC code.  The code is on a sticker on the plastic wrap and the company made it a point to cover the upcs on the boxes themselves.

The one I bought has it's own "cover" page, "TV Double Pack" at the top, large letters, then 2 pictures of what I bought (Angel seasons 3 and 4).  Haven't opened it yet, but I'm assuming that it's just the regular box sets, sealed together.

Is this worthy of being submitted?  Have any others been submitted yet?  If it didn't have the unique cover sheet, I'd just use the box sets, but since they went to the trouble of making their own cover...if I do, what should the title be?

Thanks...
Lori

There are a number of companies that are re-releasing things this way where the give the shrink wrap it's own UPC.  I still submit these if they are not in the database as a lot of people will still be adding based on the shrink wrap UPC.

I set it up as a box set with child profiles just like a normal box set that contains more then one feature.  For art work I use any data sheet/image sheet if used or else I use the cover images from of the two included DVDs as front and back image if they are packaged (most are) that way to make it as close as presented in the store.

Personally, when I get these repackaged sets, I simply break them apart and add the existing profiles to my database.  I'm only talking about the kind where they take two or more previous releases and basically shrinkwrap them together.  I've seen the sets you're talking about and that's how I would end up handling it.  Quite honestly, by the time I got around to shelving the things, that new cover sheet would end up in the trash and I'd have the original season boxes left.

This is how I treat them as well.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

I don't bother adding them unless there' new cover art. If it's just a cardboard band, I don't. In this case, it doesn't sound like there's substantial new artwork.

Okay, sounds like most don't enter them, so I'll save me some time and won't.  Thanks for the help, all!

I know I'm a little late to the party, but IMO in it's a matter of personal preference. I've seen the box sets you are talking about, in fact I bought the 30 Rock set, a while back, which is just shrink-wrapped together. I believe the other ones were the colored boxes with a whole cut out, so you can see each season you are getting. Like I said its a matter of personal preference. Now if it was the new season sets that I've seen at Walmart, it would be a different story, since those have new art work showing a dividing line between the two seasons.
