Problem with Collection Numbers |

| | Posted: | | | | I just restored my collection from a backup and did a reassign all collection numbers. Now when I sort by collection number it starts at no. 2. AFAIK nothing is missing, I just can't get it to assign collection no. 1
Any ideas? |

| | Posted: | | | | You might want to double check to see if your adult/parental control filter is on (in tools/parental control)...but you probably have a "blank" profile in there. I've never had this happen to me, but it seems to happen every once in a while. What you do is back up your database. Then go to restore it from the backup, but chose to select the profiles you want (restore specfici profiles). The blank one should be listed in there, just deselect it and restore from there. The missing profile should be gone if this is what is wrong with your database.
Doing a repair database (tools, option, utilites, repair database) might not be a bad first step either, just in case that helps. | | | | Lori |

Mediadogg, can you say some more about what process you use to edit or query the dvdprofiler database. Thanks for your assistance. |

As for editing, I was simply talking about using the exported xml file as a quick way to identify the profile associated with collection#1, so you could just edit or delete the profile once you know the UPC or some other identifying info. | | | Thanks for your support.
