Perhaps it's a stupid question and I may be overlooking something, but I can't seem to find a way to either filter my collection using a particular Locality (I only see Region) or to sort my collection by Locality (I'm NOT referring to CoO, but to the Locality of the DVD release).

Couldn't find the issue in the forums either.

Anyone got a clue how to do this?

Many thanks in advance!

As far as I'm aware, there's currently no way of doing this other than manually setting tags against each title.

It's something that I wouldn't object to seeing added.

As is usually the case with any kind of data query request, you can do it with Mark Harrison's excellent Database Query plugin.

I grant you that it would be fantastic to see such an in-depth query tool built right into the program, but in the meantime the above plugin more than suffices.

Really sorry, Astrakan, I tried Mark's plugin, but even there I just can't find it. Am I overlooking something?

No need to be sorry.

To query by locality, click the Other tab (at the very bottom) and then select Locality from the "Field:" drop down menu.

Once you've done that you can run the pre-defined query which counts profiles by locality. That will give you a list of all the localities in your collection, along with a number telling you how many profiles you have from each. You can then click on the name of a locality and it will show you the exact titles in that locality. Just click on the "Query:" drop-down and select "Count profiles by locality" to run this query.

Or you can leave the "Query:" field set to <custom query> and then choose specific localities in the "Query Parameters" section of the window.

Let me know if I'm being unclear with any of this and I'll try to clarify.

Many thanks, Astrakan! I somehow completely missed the "Locality" option in the "Other" field.
It works like a dream (thanks again, Mark Harrison!).
