| | Posted: | | | | I purchased a bunch of Blu-Rays from iNetVideo.com and most of them have bilingual covers. How do I add them, as the UPC is different from those made for the U.S. market? I have been searching for hours for images, and am not having much luck at all.  In my search of the FAQs and knowledge base, I did learn that these are for the general Canadian market vs. the Canadian (Quebec), which is a separate choice when choosing the locality when adding the movie. What's up with that? Do they think of themselves as being a different country from Canada?  The cover is very similar to the U.S. version, but the text is in both English and French. As stated above, the UPC is also different. TIA, Charles |

If the profile doesn't exist in our database under the UPC you have, you can add it. Download the U.S. blu-ray version, then go to the DVD | Change UPC menu option and change the UPC to the one you purchased.
Then to update for Canada:
1) if you have a scanner grab the front/back covers of your BD's and replace the U.S. covers with those.
2) Double check the cast/crew to make sure yours matches the U.S. BD (likely it does but assume nothing).
3) Double check the audio streams/subtitles/features/etc. and make sure they match your disc.
4) If you have a BD drive in your PC you can snag the Disc ID as well.
Then you can submit the Canadian profile.
It sounds like a lot of work but if you can get some lift from an existing profile you are most of the way there.

You can't get the disc id from a PS3, can you? I was unaware that you could change the UPC, so that will go a long way to getting me there. Thank you for your assistance. Charles |

| | Posted: | | | | I am quite fond of my Canon Lide 90. I have also never met an HP scanner that I liked, although I am sure there are plenty who would tell you differently.
I prefer to scan at 300 DPI for my own db, but contributed images are automatically scaled down to 120 DPI so anything above that is entirely your own preference.
FYI Canada has two localities, Canada and Canada(Quebec). For Bilingual covers contribute only the English Title/Overview/Rating for a Canada locality profile and only the French for Canada(Quebec). Which locality you choose is entirely up to you, but I assume that English would be your preference. |
