I've been trying to restore my database from a backup file, however whenever I do, it gets part way through and then brings up this error:
"Restore Aborted
The following error occured during the restore:
Stream read error"
Is there a way round, or am I doing something incorrectly?

| | Posted: | | | | The backup is.. Disk? Hardrive? or memory stick?.. Also try to restore by turning off some features such as cast/ headshots.. or some other area.. as shown here circled.. I'm using 3.5.1 and as far as I know the backup was from the same version. Unfortunately the computer that created the database originally is broken so I cant check to see what version it had, however I'm pretty sure it was up to date. The collection is around 1500 profiles and is being restored from a file on the hard drive.
I've tried disabling all of the tick boxes bar "restore profiles" and the same error occurs. I've also tried restoring only a single profile from the list and the same error occurs. |

| | Posted: | | | | I do get a message before restore stating "Features Will be limited" and stating that I have more than 50 DVDs yet am not registered and offering me the option of registering. No matter if I press, Yes, No or Cancel, I still get the error. |

When I changed to 3.x from my old freeware account I couldn't restore my backup (far less than 1.500). I don't recall the error message exactly, but it was something about "collection size".
