Possessive: Stanley Kubrick titles |

| | Posted: | | | | Hey all, Quick question. The latest DVD re-issues and Blurays of Eyes Wide Shut, The Shining, 2001, Full Metal Jacket and Clockwork Orange all have Stanley Kubrick's on the cover. Does this qualify as a possessive, and should they be included in the title? Example:  Not quite visible, but you can check upc 7321931806725 (for instance) Please hold the endless discussions, just a simple 'include' or 'don't include' will do. Thanks for your input! |

There is no simple 'include' or 'don't include' answer. The rules tell us to look at the credit block on the back of the DVD case. One Kubrick title could need the possessive in the title and another could need to be left out of the title... it all depends on what is in the credit block on the back cover of the DVD. | | | | Pete |

Sorry, I don't mean to be a smart-ass, but it just struck me that way that while saying it's not simple, a very simple method was explained. I've gone through this on many John Carpenter and Steven King films. |

I've gone through this on many John Carpenter and Steven King films. While there is a simple method for determining inclusion or exclusion, that isn't what the OP asked for. He said, "Please hold the endless discussions, just a simple 'include' or 'don't include' will do."
