Hi, me again...
Just adding my BD copy of Batman Begins (7321942115212, Norwegian) and see that most of the cast is missing. I then check the contributions, and there are one person who has done this profile so far. What's concerns me is that his/her notes states this and got approved:

"Posted: October 17, 2008 1:10 AM

cast and crew mostly from back of cover, supplement from imdb
New profile, didn't find the EAN code in the database

Evaluate this contribution

Profile Contribution Approved Oct 16 2008  8:35PM

Image Contribution Approved Oct 16 2008  8:35PM"

This seems very strange to me...

It doesn't look to me like it should have been approved. The notes are very unclear. But the screeners are human. Fix it.

Not true, at all, bizzarre. Just because it's a pre-release does nto mean you are free to put whatever you want in the Profile. We stiil don't make-up data like UPCs, we still don't use IMDb. And you still need to provide sources for your data which was not done for the UPC, did he invent it, and your notes must till be clear.

I had a similar instance last night. Only the initial contribution existed for a title and the notes solely consisted of "IMDB, DVD COver". Luckily no cast/crew info were entered & the errors that were there were easy to see & correct, NTSC selected for a PAL DVD for example.

It does seems that the standards aren't as strict on new submissions.  I guess the thinking is that it should get into the system so that others can improve on it.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.

When I add a pre-release I go from several sources. If there is no cover or more info that I can gleam from the sources then I leave many things blank. I tend, of course, to submit many barebones pre-releases just to get it into the database. If I purchase it or someone else then I feel it can be updated properly.
