I see profiles posted for blu-ray DVDs with a disc id, but now that I have a new blu-ray drive (read only), DVDProfiler won't find the disc id. It says there is no disc inserted or can't be recognized as a DVD. Well, duh, it's a blu-ray. I do have blu-ray checked in the profile, so it should know that it's a profile. I can play the disc fine in PowerDVD, so why can't DVDProfiler get the disc id? Does it maybe work with some drives and not others? Mine is a LG GBC-H20L.

Is the new drive the only removable one on your computer?

If not then you may need to go to Tool | Options | System and select the drive letter that matches the new Blu-ray drive.

I have the GGC-H20L which works just fine with Profiler.

The correct drive is selected. I have scanned standard DVDs before, but not since replacing my old drive, which failed, with this one. The new drive is the same drive letter, and I confirmed that DVD Profiler has the drive set correctly in its options.

I don't know about the UDF 2.50 drivers; how can I check?

FWIW I'm running Windows Media Center Edition 2002 with Service Pack 3.

You, sir, are a scholar and a gentleman. I do indeed owe you. If we should ever meet in a bar, the first beer's on me (not literally, I hope!  ). Although, since I never go to bars, it would seem unlikely.

I generally avoid all things Toshiba due to a bad experience with their support for an old PDA of mine, but since I couldn't find any other drivers, I swallowed my pride and installed it. Now I can see the files in Explorer and DVD Profiler can get the disc id.

Thank you.
