Sorry to be such a pest today, but I have these "pent up questions". <g>

I have the Notes set to use HTML (note:I do NOT consider myself an html programmer) and thought I would get this to work. And it does seem to sporadically and that's what bothers me. I can't get anything consistent for results.

I have a number of movies on laser disks that I've digitized and have the listed in my wishlist for when I might be able to find them on DVD. In the mean time, I'd like to be able to click the link "Play Movie" in the notes section and get the movie to play.

<br><br>
<a href="\\servername\videos\LaserDisks\Flashpoint.mpg" target="_blank">Play Movie</a>

\\server is the server and I've even verified case for the path. IF I put the above info between the first quotes into a browser, it will play the movie so that makes me think I'm pretty close. Have also tried it without the first set of quotes and without the target="_blank".

Even when it DOES work, it takes a seemingly long time to bring up the video player program (Nero showtime in this case).

Anyone have any ideas or should I just stop trying to make a DVD inventory program into a DVD player program. <g>

Thanks for any thoughts/help.

as far as your problem, are all the movies in mpg and is their proper file association set up?

additionally, you may want to check out mediadogg's load dvd plugin

I believe that the associations are set correctly (all are mpg types so far) as I can use a browser to go to the directory and then click the file and Nero Showtime plays the file.

I'll take a look at load dvd - thanks for the tip!
