Okay, I just got a contribution that has this for the notes: "SRP from DVD Empire.  MC from back cover. "

My first instinct is to vote no, saying no link for the srp so we can check, plus no proof that that is the original srp and not one that has been changed.  The DVD has been out for over a year now, closer to a year and a half...

Am I being to harsh and I should vote yes or can I honestly ask for more of a source for SRP? And yes, I could hunt down the actual link, but if the person is contributing, the proof should be in the notes, right?

Thanks for the help...

It depends on the title specifics. Relative to re-release, I presume since you mentioned it that this may be a distinct possibility.

But I would vote No, as you noted, insufficient documentation. DVDEmpire only sets SRP for themselves, sometimes on their own and sometimes based on press release data. Each Distributor/Retailer sets the SRP based on their own policies and this can and frequently does vary from one source to another by as much as 25 cents, There have been instances, however where SRP data is all over the map, thus I never rely on simply one source unless I have access to ACTUAL press-release data, which happens often. But any individual retailer's SRP is an interpretation of the ACTUAL SRP based on their particular policies, sometimes the policy may coincide with the Distributor's SRP, but more often not.

It's a bit of sticky wicket and takes some real backgound information more often than not but i would vote No and i hope this helped a little.

Without more details, I too, would vote no.
No dictator, no invader can hold an imprisoned population by force of arms forever.
There is no greater power in the universe than the need for freedom.
Against this power, governments and tyrants and armies cannot stand.
The Centauri learned this lesson once.
We will teach it to them again.
Though it take a thousand years, we will be free.
