Through a plugin importing your collection from Collectorz is fairly easy. You can find a "cookbook" on how to do it here (scroll down to the post starting with V.088 available).
The plugin in question is called BulkEdit and can be found here.

You will however need to buy a license if you want to use all of DVD Profiler's features on more than 50 DVDs. More info is here. To be honest though, the one-time license fee of 30 bucks may well be the best investment I ever made!

Good luck!

if Movie Label 2009 has an export to XML then maybe it could be done with XML Import
Just took a look at the web site. Looks like an awesome product on paper. Seems to have all the features of DVDP at twice the price!

Anyway, I would be happy to tweak the XML Import of BulkEdit to accomodate Movie Label 2009 should the demand arise. And as usual, I will enlist the help of the team to help with the mapping and testing, just as we did for DVD Spot. That was fun ...

Edit: Another route - Since we can now import profiles in either the DVDP XML or Tom Gaines CSV formats,  somebody could write a conversion script that recasts the ML 2009 XML into one of those formats - for safety, just ignore converting anything but personal info and UPC/ProfileID, so that the rest comes solely from Invelos. Then you could just use BulkEdit as it is currently written for 3.1 and hopefully completed for 3.5 soon.

I had Movie Collectorz and will say this:

If, like me, you were using the downloaded information from the main database, I would be afraid to bring in the new database you are building in DVD Profiler 'false' information.

If you are patient, I would export only the UPC, DISC ID and TITLE in a file to copy past the UPC inside your local invelos database and import the information residing from invelos database. Otherwise, you might add so much erroneous details that you might, not knowingly, trying to contribute those changes inside this database...

Hey, I did it for more that 1600 disk in less than 30 days

Trust me, doing it UPC by UPC will enable you to have the most up to date information in your collection!!

If you decide to go the UPC route, you can use either the UPC Import plugin or the BulkEdit plugin (CSV import) to automate the process. BulkEdit will accept DiscIDs, UPCs or ProfileIDs (UPC.Locality). After the profile is created, then you must refresh the profile to cause the download from Invelos. With BulkEdit, I estimate it would take about an hour for 1600 profiles.

Oh, and by the way, when we did the CollectorZ and DVD Spot stuff, the import was mostly for personal information (Notes, reviews, Location/Slot, Purchase Info). Minimal "bad data" was imported, because all the official fields were overwritten by the refresh / download from Invelos.

Edit: This was all pre-3.5.1. The process may not work as cleanly now, but may be worth a try.

Aha! Hadn't noticed that. But XML or UPC import still works OK, because all non-personal info gets overwritten by Invelos data - at least in my plugin it does.
