A user in the German Profiler Forum found a small bug in the 'Add By Title' function: In contrast to handling other characters, if a word begins with a German umlaut, the Profiler distinguishes between lower case and upper case characters.

Example:
You try to find a DVD for the movie "To Catch a Thief". If you search a DVD with the English title, it doesn't matter if you type "to catch..." or "To catch...". In any case, all available DVDs are listed.

However, when you search a DVD for this movie's German title "Über den Dächern von Nizza", you have to use an upper case "Ü". Typing a lower case "ü" yields an empty list.

The same behaviour can also be observed, if a word other than the first one begins with an umlaut: When trying to find the Steve Martin movie "Immer Ärger mit Sergean Bilko", you have to type "Immer Ärger..." or "immer Ärger...". Typing "Immer ärger..." will only yield an empty list.

It doesn't seem restricted to umlauts. It seems the title search doesn't ignore case differences with any accented character. Nice catch.

It can distinguish, and it does, but it shouldn't.

Apologies if my post was unclear. I've edited it to be clearer (I think!).

Confirmed. It's seems to happen for all accented letters. For instance it finds "Molière" but not  "MOLIÈRE". It finds "È  arrivata la felicità" but not "è arrivata la felicità". It finds  "È  ARRIVATA LA FELICITà" but not "È  ARRIVATA LA FELICITÀ".
