I've done a search and can't find a topic with the answer.

I know it's possible to register the mobile version without registering for a premium account of the PC version but I'm not sure if the combination will work or not?

All I really want to do is maintain my collection and sync the entire database to my PDA so I don't end up doing something silly like buying Jersy Girl twice, again.

Is this possible? Is the lack of premium registration on the PC version which is stopping me from syncing more than 50 titles or the mobile version? What am I missing out on by not upgrading the PC version at the same time?

Is there some kind of discount for registering both at the same time?

As far as I know, you have to have the desktop version to sync to the mobile, and to overcome the limitations both have to be paid. I'm sure someone who has both will eventually post to confirm or deny what I just said. I paid for the desktop version within 2 hours of downloading it way back in 2003. If I didn't have a Treo 700P, I'd have the mobile version paid for also. Next phone change for me will be probably to a Windows based just so I can use the mobile version.

I thought this might be the case but the reason I asked is that there doesn't seem to be any sort of bundle available with both versions together, which is odd since why would anyone buy the mobile version without the full version if it's so crippled?

I figure after years of free use (I've been using it for years but for some reason my reg date on the forums is only 2007) it was time I backed this amazingly functional software.

Purchased!

Welcome to the forum! The previous "free" version was under a different company name: Intervocative Software. Ken Cole (the original developer of the program and partner in Intervocative and guy with a yellowish background on his posts) purchased sole ownership and created the new company in 2007. That's why you won't see anyone registered before March, 2007.
