I've just done my latest check for changed profiles and 4 were highlighted, 3 of which also contained Media Publisher changes. I accepted the updates and down they came however the 3 MP changes have not been applied.

3 profiles affected were The Brave One (Blu-ray) 7321900139847, In The Cut (DVD) 5060002831830 and The Net (DVD) 5035822412897.

This was against my normal database of 3.5.0 1240.

EDIT: Just tried it on my beta test database after applying 3.5.1 1249 and the MP, or should I now say Media Company here, came down fine.

I see someone else is also reporting this problem here

Has Mr. Cole made a change on the server which affects the behaviour of the MP ready for the change to 3 Media Companies and this is stopping the d/l of the MP into 3.5.0 1240?

My understanding is that the 3.5.1 beta supports up to 3 entries in this category.  Since 3.5 only supports one entry, they are now incompatible.  We can either update to the latest beta or hold off on updates until 3.5.1 final comes out.  Typically when this sort of thing happens it only lasts a couple of days.

Thanks mdnitoil. That was my take as well but was hoping for some form of official clarification. Looks like I'll have to hang fire on updates to my main database until 3.5.1 is officially released, hopefully sooner rather than later. Just realised it's Sunday today so tomorrow is Monday hmmmmmmm

Thanks for the info... I was wondering why my recent updates were having the MP stripped out on completion of a download. For eg. Number 96: The Pantyhose Strangler, UPC 3000000069547 (and its child profiles) which came through today. When I re-added MP and contributed it, it came up as nothing been changed in the profile. At least I know I'm not going bonkers.

Cheers
