1) The icons in the are bugged. I already reinstalled, but to no avail. The issue is mere cosmetic, but still. Description: the icon buttons pictures are somehow overlapping and mashing into one another.
It does not influence the useage of the program, but it looks rather shabby.
2) Every single time I want to look up a movie by title, I have to uncheck "HD" and "Blue Ray". I cannot find the setting under "options" to turn them off by default.
3) How can I contribute a movie for the wishlist that hasn't yet been taken into the DB yet? There are several movies I really would like to have, but which aren't yet released on DVD. That does NOT mean that I don't WANT them though. I guess I am not the only one who waits for a classic movie to be released and who wants the movie in their wish list already. Friends of mine have my profiler list web page, so they can check my wish list. When they encounter a movie that I deem to be not yet released, they can inform me and I can buy it.
4) When I add a new contribution, after a while I see that there is someone else who had contributed the same movie too, with sometimes better information or pictures. It would be convenient to have a "compair" function. With this, one could compair either the same title or UPC with other contributions and chose the best match.
Of course, it might be that 2 - 4 are already featured, but I cannot find them. |

| | Posted: | | | | 1) Probably you're using the wrong layout for your screen resolution. Go to DVDProfiler menu "View -> Load Layout..." and choose the layout that matches your screen settings.
2) Alas, this is not possible at the moment, though it is quite often asked in the "Feature Request" Forum.
3) You have a point there. Prerelease contributions are not undisputed (because of incorrect data).
If you know the UPC of the unreleased DVD the contribution as such works the same way as any other contribution. If the UPC is unknown the DVD shouldn't be contributed.
4) Usually an new profile gets released within 12 hours after initial contribution. After this we have the evaluation system which allows you to compair existing profiles to pending updates. This doesn't and will never work for all DVDs with the same title but only within the same UPC. | | | It all seems so stupid, it makes me want to give up!
