How do I backup my program before I install the new one?  I want to back it up on a cd or dvd instead of a floppy?? Please help

What I do... is I back it up (File --> Backup Database) to somewhere on the harddrive... then I burn that back-up to a CD-RW.

Thanks didn't think of that. But I do wonder why it has only using a floppy instead of being able to copy it right to a cd or dvd.. Doesn't make much sense.

You can install the new version right over your old one. When you start for the first time, a database conversoion process will happen depending on you collection size, a minute or two.

because you need software to write directly to a CD or DVD whereas the floppy just appears as a drive letter in windows and can be written directly.
