I was not sure if this was where I needed to report bugs, especially since the new release is now out and not beta any longer. (v3.5 b1240)

The review system for both 3.1 and 3.5 in both the Movie and DVD ratings contains every rating choice from 5 bars down to 0 bars except for 0 1/2 (0.5) bars.

Reguardless if leaving out 1/2 bar was an error or on purpose, it produces a bug in the Charts & Graphs.

Try the following:
  • Pick any movie, give it a Movie review-rating but no DVD review-rating and then flag the movie.
  • In "Charts & Graphs" go to "Personal => Reviews => Movie" and select "flagged entries only"
  • Assuming you only have this one movie flagged, note the rating. It should be the same as the rating that you gave.
  • Go one down to "DVD" and you should see "None" since you gave the movie no DVD rating.
  • Now go down again to "Entire" and instead of the rating that you gave, it should be the rating plus 1/2 bar.

  • The reverse also works by giving the profiled title a DVD rating but no Movie rating.
If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.

He who MUST get the last word in on a pointless, endless argument doesn't win. It makes him the bigger jerk.

this is a known 'bug' or 'feature' and has been around for a long time.

I assumed as much since I noticed it when downloaded 3.1 a few weeks ago, but given how minor of a bug it is, I would have assumed that it would get fixed in the "next version".

Since it hasn't been fixed, I thought it wise to bring it up even if it had been mentioned in the past.

I did not test the beta otherwise I would have noticed and mentioned it earlier.

I think that the fact it is not yet fixed lies in the fack it does not harm the system or the program at all and it is not or it is probably on the botom on the bugfix list Ken uses to make DVD-P a better working program.
