| Posted: | | | | Ok, so as soon as version 3.5 came out, I started having problems with 3.1 (access violation errors and such). I assumed it was somehow related to the online database, but regardless of what the reason might have been, I upgraded to 3.5 and most of the problems went away. However, one persists.
I tried first with 3.1 and then with 3.5 to check updates. I am a dialup user, so the new Online Profile List of 13.52MB took a while as expected. However, around the 12 MB point of the download, an error occurred "Unable to download file" which, at first, I assumed was just a result of a connection timeout.
I have now tried it 3 (maybe 4) times with 3.1 and 2 times with 3.5, and every time the download cuts out around the same time. I did not have this problem when I initially downloaded 3.1 and had to do that first massive update a few weeks ago.
Any ideas why I might be having this problem now, and if it persists, is there an alternative way to download the update (so that I can use a download accelerator, for instance)? | | | If at first you don't succeed, skydiving isn't for you.
