Well, perhaps my post will make the thread relevant.

I purchased it a while back on another computer (unlimited registration key).  That computer is now moving slower than molasses, and so I'd like to have access to my account (offline) on this computer.  How do I go about doing that?

Anyone?...Anyone?...Bueller?...Bueller?

Use File->Backup on the old computer and File->Restore on the new computer (after first installing DVD Profiler).

Well, I did this, but still seem to be unable to restore.  Perhaps I've done something wrong...although this would be a first EVAR!

But seriously, did the File --> Backup on the old computer (to a flashdrive) and then, but seem to be unable to restore it now.  It's on the flash drive as "backup.dpb"....at least, I THINK that's it.  Everything else on there is school related.

I select "removable drive" and then the "h:" drive, and I get the message "Please insert backup disk #1 to continue."

I'm so confuuuuuused!

Don't select "removable drive", instead select "Specific location" and browse to the .dpb file on your flash drive. This should allow the restore.
The "removable drive" option only works if you used "removable drive" option to create the backup in the first place, but if I remember rightly it deletes everything else from the drive so I don't use it myself.
