DVDP mentions filters in the plural, but all I can find is the one: by title.
So, where are the rest? E.g. I want to filter by location, showing only the DVDs in wallet A.

Just to check you have clicked the filters button that's bottom left in the program on the default layout?

If you have and are only seeing one option of title try reloading the layout - view - load layout - default layout.

Edit - although there doesn't seem to be a location filter under there...

If you can't see the filter window, hit Ctrl F. The Filter Window consists of the following filters:
General, Genre, Features, Audio/Sub., Cast, Crew, Studios, Tags, Formats, Personal. Presently Filter by Location is not an option and has been asked for in the Feature Request Forum.

Make sure you have the program set to display the filters window:

View -> Windows -> Put a checkmark next to "Filters"

But, like Lithurge says, I don't see anywhere there where you can filter by location.

So, a workaround:

1. Right-click the "Title" bar in the Collection List window
2. Select "View Columns" and put a heckmark next to "Disc Location"
3. A new column labeled "Disc Location" should be visible in the Collection List window.
4. Click the "Disc Location" bar in the Collection List window. This will sort your collection by location. While it doesn't display ONLY the titles in wallet A, it is easy to see which titles are in wallet A.

If you definitely want to be able to filter the list the only workaround I can think of is to use tags. Meaning, first create tags for each of your wallets. Then do the above four steps, and then work your way down the list tagging each movie appropriately.

I thought that I might not be looking in the right place -- and I was! Or, wasn't, as it were!

Thanx, guys.

Now, if only I could filter on location. I want to print a directory, or contents, for each wallet of 128 discs, identified as "locations". What I have had to do is use the flags creatively.

What's missing from the flags actions:

  • Unflag all above current

  • Unflag all below current
  • -R.

Do you know that if you add "disc location" to your view columns in your collection list, you can sort by location? It may help your filtering.
Though you're right - it would be nice to be able to filter on them!
