| Posted: | | | | I was getting an error in DVD Profiler while attempting to create a backup. I tried a Database repair using the "Custom" option and selected to remove unused cast and crew members and when the utitlity got to Cast member Adreas Parker i got the same error i was getting when attempting to do a backup. I clicked OK to the error message and then the utility reported the repair was complete and i was able to do a complete backup.
My qeustion is, from what i've read in a post here is that this option is supposed to remove all cast and crew members that don't have headshots tied to them. After the repair i still see cast and crew members listed in my profiles that do not have headshots. This may be due to the utiltiy only getting 60% of the way through the removal of unused cast and crew members. How do i restore any cast and crew members that were removed. I did do a update to my profiles online. | | | My collection PHPdvdProfiler Custom edited ( Matrix theme )

No, this option is for removing cast and crew members from your database, which are not associated with any of your profiles. You are probably confusing it with the information you got from the headshot database thread. If you have no profiles in your collection, then this option will delete all cast and crew members except those with headshots when you have the option "preserve cast/crew with images" set. | | |

| Posted: | | | | Thanks Tom, I have removed some profiles and replaced them with others, i guess this is how i ended up getting the error message i was getting while trying to do a backup. I am not sure if i selected the option to "preserve cast/crew with images" but from what your saying i guess it wouldn't make any difference. If i had any unused cast/crew members left lingering from deleted profiles then they should be removed , whether they had headshots or not. This is the same as cleaning your database from unused cover images. I like to thank you for your post Tom as now i feel confinident i have a good backup image and can move forward and continue to add many needed profiles.
