| | Posted: | | | | I just added a second hard drive to my computer and moved my My Documents folder to the new drive. When I first opened DVD Profiler after the move, it opened up to a blank database. I did File>Open Database and browsed to the new location of my old database and selected it. But when I highlighted the database and hit OK, I get the following error message: Unable to Open Database. The Database path is not accessible e:\Documents\DVD Profiler\Databases\Default\
I don't get it. I can see the file in Windows Explorer, I can browse to it in DVD Profiler. DVD Profiler obviously can do something with it because it has counted the number of DVDs in the database. How can I get my file open? | | | Regards,

where Giga Wizard is the user name of the window login and

What I discovered is that I can copy the database anywhere on C: and it at least loads, though it is still looking for files in various subdirectories of C:\Documents and Settings\Administrator\My documents\DVD Profiler. So I just moved the entire database back to its original location and it works. Bummer that I can't get it on E: though.
But if I have the database anywhere on e:, I can't open it. Also, FYI, I have no folder like E:\Documents and Settings\Giga Wizard\My documents\ Perhaps this is because of the technique I used to move the My Documents folder. What I did was create a folder in the root of E: called Documents. Then I went to My Documents in the Start menu, right clicked on it, selected Properties, clicked the Move button and browsed to E:\Documents and hit OK, then said it was OK to move the old files to the new location. So now the only Documents and Settings folder is still on C: and if I go into the properties of My Documents, it says E:\Documents\ | | | Regards,
